Em apenas tr\u00eas anos, o Governo do Estado aumentou de 94 para 213 o n\u00famero de Restaurantes Populares no Maranh\u00e3o, a maior rede de seguran\u00e7a alimentar do Brasil. Os investimentos estaduais no combate \u00e0 fome foram destacados pelo secret\u00e1rio de Assuntos Municipalistas, Orleans Brand\u00e3o, ao participar da inaugura\u00e7\u00e3o de mais duas unidades nas cidades de Igarap\u00e9 do Meio e Porto Rico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ao lado do governador Carlos Brand\u00e3o, do secret\u00e1rio de Desenvolvimento Social, Paulo Cas\u00e9, da prefeita Aldenira Silva e do ex-prefeito Almeida Sousa, Orleans Brand\u00e3o participou da inaugura\u00e7\u00e3o do 212\u00ba Restaurante Popular e voltou a afirmar que nunca se fez tanto em t\u00e3o pouco tempo, ao referir-se \u00e0s in\u00fameras obras e a\u00e7\u00f5es realizadas pelo governo estadual, em todos os munic\u00edpios. Em especial, ele destacou os investimentos estaduais na redu\u00e7\u00e3o da pobreza extrema e no combate \u00e0 fome no Maranh\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEm apenas tr\u00eas anos, aumentamos de 94 para 212 o n\u00famero de restaurantes populares, equipamento important\u00edssimo que oferece comida de qualidade a pre\u00e7os simb\u00f3licos, servindo mil refei\u00e7\u00f5es em cada unidade todos os dias. E os resultados positivos j\u00e1 come\u00e7am a aparecer. A Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Get\u00falio Vargas e o IBGE mostraram que em dois anos de governo mais de 1 milh\u00e3o de pessoas sa\u00edram da pobreza extrema. Mas faltava resgatar 500 mil pessoas, por isso desenvolvemos o Maranh\u00e3o Livre da Fome, o maior programa social da hist\u00f3ria do nosso estado\u201d, declarou Orleans Brand\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Em seguida, o secret\u00e1rio de Assuntos Municipalistas tamb\u00e9m participou da inaugura\u00e7\u00e3o do 213\u00ba Restaurante Popular em Porto Rico, ao lado do governador e do prefeito Aldo Brow, e declarou sua confian\u00e7a de que esses investimentos trar\u00e3o resultados ainda mais positivos nos pr\u00f3ximos anos. \u201cTenho a convic\u00e7\u00e3o de que atrav\u00e9s do governador Carlos Brand\u00e3o, um l\u00edder humano e sens\u00edvel, o Maranh\u00e3o vai superar essa barreira e combater a pobreza, e estar\u00e1 livre da fome.
