Em contato telef\u00f4nico com este blog, o presidente do Movimento Estudantil Independente (MEI), Carlos Victor Fontenele, negou que tenha declarado a fal\u00eancia da entidade, como foi publicado aqui no \u00faltimo dia 22. Segundo ele, o MEI est\u00e1 em pleno funcionamento, das 8h \u00e0s 17h, em sua sede, no Canto da Fabril.<\/p>\n

Sobre as carteiras estudantis, ele explicou que existem 1.400 documentos com validade em 2008 para serem entregues a universit\u00e1rio e alunos do ensino m\u00e9dio. Segundo ele, os titulares receber\u00e3o suas carteiras a partir da pr\u00f3xima semana ou no primeiro dia \u00fatil ap\u00f3s o Carnaval.<\/p>\n

De acordo com Fontenele, existem casos de carteiras com chips queimados (a vida \u00fatil de um chip \u00e9 de tr\u00eas meses). Ele esclarece que, nesse caso, \u00e9 feito um pedido \u00e0 empresa que fabrica o material, a Nova Card, de S\u00e3o Paulo. \u0093Estamos esperando que a empresa nos envie a remessa de carteiras que solicitamos para repass\u00e1-las aos estudantes\u0094, assinalou.<\/p>\n

Sobre sua aus\u00eancia em eventos estudantis, o presidente alegou que designou um membro de sua diretoria para esse tipo de tarefa, pois est\u00e1 envolvido exclusivamente com o movimento estudantil universit\u00e1rio, pois cursa o terceiro per\u00edodo de Servi\u00e7o Social.
