Ele e outro ex-PM s\u00e3o acusados de sequestrar, manter em c\u00e1rcere privado, matar e tentar ocultar o corpo do estudante Ivanildo Barbosa J\u00fanior, que em mat\u00e9ria publicada no \u00faltimo dia 3 no site da Corte (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.stj.gov.br\/portal_stj\/publicacao\/engine.wsp?tmp.area=44\" target=\"_blank\">leia<\/a>) \u00e9 apontado como &#8220;suposto traficante&#8221;. O crime aconteceu em setembro de 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Para decretar a pris\u00e3o preventiva do ex-policial, o Tribunal de Justi\u00e7a do Maranh\u00e3o levou em considera\u00e7\u00e3o a gravidade do crime e o fato de o acusado ser policial. A corte maranhense ainda justificou a deten\u00e7\u00e3o para evitar que novos crimes fossem cometidos.<\/p>\n<p>No STJ, a relatora, ministra Laurita Vaz destacou que a obriga\u00e7\u00e3o do PM era \u201cgarantir a seguran\u00e7a de todos os cidad\u00e3os, inclusive a de supostos criminosos\u201d.
