Deputado estadual Z\u00e9 Gentil n\u00e3o resistiu \u00e0s complica\u00e7\u00f5es do novo coronav\u00edrus<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

O presidente da Assembleia Legislativa do Maranh\u00e3o, deputado Othelino Neto (PCdoB), decretou luto oficial de tr\u00eas dias pelo falecimento do deputado Z\u00e9 Gentil (PRB), aos  80 anos, v\u00edtima de complica\u00e7\u00f5es decorrentes da Covid-19, \u00e0s 4h45 desta segunda-feira (15), no Hospital Unimed de Teresina, onde estava internado desde o \u00faltimo dia  7. Empres\u00e1rio e pol\u00edtico, Z\u00e9 Gentil era pai de quatro filhos, entre eles o prefeito de Caxias, F\u00e1bio Gentil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O parlamentar estava em seu terceiro mandato no Legislativo maranhense. Nas elei\u00e7\u00f5es de 7 de outubro de 2018, foi eleito deputado estadual pelo Republicanos, com 62.364 votos. Exerceu ainda a fun\u00e7\u00e3o nas legislaturas de 1987 a 1991 (deputado constituinte), 1995 a 1999 e, na atual, de 2019 a 2023. Antes, em 1982, exerceu mandato de vereador de Caxias, cidade onde nasceu, no dia 18 de maio de 1940.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Z\u00e9 Gentil marcou hist\u00f3ria na pol\u00edtica maranhense sendo um dos parlamentares constituintes que elaboraram a atual Constitui\u00e7\u00e3o do Estado do Maranh\u00e3o, promulgada em 5 de outubro de 1989. Por esse feito, foi homenageado pela Assembleia Legislativa no ato de comemora\u00e7\u00e3o dos 30 anos da Constitui\u00e7\u00e3o Estadual, celebrado no ano passado. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ao assumir seu terceiro mandato no Parlamento Estadual, em 2019, Z\u00e9 Gentil ganhou destaque com a aprova\u00e7\u00e3o do projeto RG+, entre muitos outros que apresentou na Casa, em benef\u00edcio da popula\u00e7\u00e3o maranhense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

V\u00edtima da Covid-19, o deputado teve seu estado agravado por conta de suas comorbidades \u2013 diabetes, hipertens\u00e3o e doen\u00e7a renal cr\u00f4nica. No domingo, ele teve uma parada cardiorrespirat\u00f3ria e seu estado de sa\u00fade piorou ainda mais, vindo a falecer na madrugada desta segunda-feira (15).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O presidente Othelino Neto emitiu nota de pesar na qual lamenta o falecimento do parlamentar e amigo. \u201cA morte de Z\u00e9 Gentil \u00e9 um fato lament\u00e1vel para todos n\u00f3s da Assembleia Legislativa, amigos, familiares e, especialmente, para a popula\u00e7\u00e3o de Caxias. Embora passasse uma certa timidez, ele era sempre muito determinado em seus posicionamentos. Era uma pessoa muito educada e verdadeira. Com certeza, far\u00e1 muita falta para todos n\u00f3s, disse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOTA DE PESAR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Assembleia Legislativa do Maranh\u00e3o manifesta profundo pesar pelo falecimento do deputado estadual Jos\u00e9 Gentil (PRB), aos 80 anos, nesta segunda-feira (15). Em raz\u00e3o desta grande perda, o Parlamento maranhense decreta luto oficial de tr\u00eas dias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Z\u00e9 Gentil, como era conhecido, estava no seu terceiro mandato como deputado estadual, exercendo a fun\u00e7\u00e3o nas legislaturas 1987 a 1991 (deputado constituinte), 1995 a 1999 e, na atual, de 2019 a 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pai de quatro filhos, entre eles o prefeito de Caxias, F\u00e1bio Gentil, o falecimento de Z\u00e9 Gentil deixa uma imensa lacuna na pol\u00edtica do Estado e enluta os cidad\u00e3os e cidad\u00e3s caxienses e de todo o Maranh\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neste momento de dor, a Assembleia Legislativa transmite irrestrita solidariedade aos familiares, amigos, admiradores, e \u00e0 popula\u00e7\u00e3o de Caxias em geral, que perde um grande l\u00edder pol\u00edtico e apaixonado por essa cidade t\u00e3o querida. Deus o receba em paz!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
