A decis\u00e3o se deu na A\u00e7\u00e3o C\u00edvel Origin\u00e1ria (ACO) 3508, em que o STF determinou que a Uni\u00e3o adote as medidas administrativas e legislativas necess\u00e1rias para a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o do censo no pr\u00f3ximo ano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De acordo com o Estado do Maranh\u00e3o, autor da a\u00e7\u00e3o, a previs\u00e3o or\u00e7ament\u00e1ria para a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o do censo, de R$ 2 bilh\u00f5es, seria insuficiente, pois a anterior era de R$ 2,292 bilh\u00f5es. O governo estadual sustenta que a Uni\u00e3o estaria descumprindo a tutela provis\u00f3ria deferida pelo STF e pede que se determine o acr\u00e9scimo de de R$ 292 milh\u00f5es na previs\u00e3o or\u00e7ament\u00e1ria para viabilizar a pesquisa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Uni\u00e3o, por sua vez, argumenta que n\u00e3o foram apresentados dados, estudos, relat\u00f3rios ou proje\u00e7\u00f5es que demonstrem, com metodologia cientificamente apropriada, as raz\u00f5es pelas quais os R$ 2 bilh\u00f5es previstos no Projeto da Lei Or\u00e7ament\u00e1ria Anual de 2022 (PLN 19\/2021) seriam insuficientes.
