Pol\u00edcia Federal investiga submiss\u00e3o de 31 pessoas oriundas do Cear\u00e1 \u00e0 condi\u00e7\u00e3o an\u00e1loga ao trabalho escravo no Maranh\u00e3o<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

A Pol\u00edcia Federal deflagrou, nesta quinta-feira (17), a Opera\u00e7\u00e3o Prunifera*, visando combater o tr\u00e1fico de pessoas e a redu\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 condi\u00e7\u00e3o an\u00e1loga a de escravo, com o cumprimento, no munic\u00edpio de Uruoca\/CE, de tr\u00eas mandados de busca e apreens\u00e3o, expedidos pela Justi\u00e7a Federal do Maranh\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trata-se da investiga\u00e7\u00e3o de trabalho escravo em que 31 v\u00edtimas, sendo duas menores de idade, oriundas do estado do Cear\u00e1, foram aliciadas, mediante fraude, com a promessa de trabalho, alojamento e alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o pagos pelo empregador e levadas ao estado do Maranh\u00e3o. Ao concordarem com a proposta, receberam certa quantia de dinheiro para deixar com suas fam\u00edlias e entregaram suas carteiras de trabalho (apenas aquelas que possu\u00edam), as quais seriam devolvidas quando retornassem ao Cear\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ao chegarem ao destino, descobriram que foram enganadas, pois o alojamento parecia um local abandonado, extremamente sujo, sem energia el\u00e9trica, nem \u00e1gua encanada ou banheiro que funcionasse, de modo que as v\u00edtimas tomavam banho em um criat\u00f3rio de peixe, com \u00e1gua barrenta e malcheirosa. Al\u00e9m disso, dormiam em redes na varanda ao relento, enquanto um dos suspeitos repousava dentro da casa, sozinho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quanto \u00e0s condi\u00e7\u00f5es de trabalho, caminhavam cerca de 3 km at\u00e9 o local de extra\u00e7\u00e3o da folha de carna\u00faba, sem banheiro, \u00e1gua proveniente de um buraco (sem qualquer filtragem), redu\u00e7\u00e3o da quantidade fornecida de alimentos quando a meta n\u00e3o era batida e jornada de trabalho de mais de 12 horas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ressalte-se que parte das v\u00edtimas foi resgatada no ano passado pela Pol\u00edcia Civil do munic\u00edpio de Vargem Grande\/MA, oportunidade em que um suspeito foi preso em flagrante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Os investigados poder\u00e3o responder por crimes de reduzir algu\u00e9m a condi\u00e7\u00e3o an\u00e1loga \u00e0 escravid\u00e3o (art. 149; do CPB) e de tr\u00e1fico de pessoas (art. 149-A, II; do CPB), dentre outros, podendo a pena ultrapassar 16 anos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
