Francisco do Maranh\u00e3o ir\u00e1 participar de um procedimento eleitoral denominado renova\u00e7\u00e3o de elei\u00e7\u00e3o majorit\u00e1ria, previsto no artigo 224 do C\u00f3digo Eleitoral.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;background: white\">O Tribunal Regional Eleitoral, por meio da Resolu\u00e7\u00e3o N\u00ba. 7858\/2010, definiu todo o disciplinamento que dever\u00e1 ser observado na nova elei\u00e7\u00e3o para Prefeito e Vice-Prefeito do referido Munic\u00edpio.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;background: white\">Segundo a Resolu\u00e7\u00e3o, est\u00e3o aptos a votar nessa elei\u00e7\u00e3o, os eleitores inscritos na respectiva circunscri\u00e7\u00e3o at\u00e9 o dia 17 (dezessete) de fevereiro de 2010.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;background: justify;background: white\">A Corte do TRE-MA, durante sess\u00e3o realizada no m\u00eas de janeiro do corrente ano, determinou a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de novas elei\u00e7\u00f5es majorit\u00e1rias no Munic\u00edpio em fun\u00e7\u00e3o da nulidade de mais da metade dos votos totalizados nas elei\u00e7\u00e3o de 2008, resultante da cassa\u00e7\u00e3o de J\u00f4natas Alves de Almeida e Alberone dos Santos Silva, Prefeito e Vice-Prefeito eleitos naquele ano.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;background: white\">Contudo, no final de maio, o Tribunal Superior Eleitoral, por unanimidade, anulou a segunda elei\u00e7\u00e3o no munic\u00edpio, ocorrida no dia 28 de fevereiro, determinando a expedi\u00e7\u00e3o de nova resolu\u00e7\u00e3o para assegurar, nas novas elei\u00e7\u00f5es, o direito de voto a todos os eleitores que constem no Cadastro Nacional de Eleitores no 151\u00ba dia anterior ao pleito e, ainda, com observ\u00e2ncia dos prazos processuais estabelecidos pela Lei Complementar
