Segundo o tecladista Neville Hinds, ex-companheiro de banda, a irm\u00e3 de Lyn informou que a causa da morte est\u00e1 relacionada a c\u00e2ncer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lyn faleceu dois meses ap\u00f3s Carole Joan Crawford, a primeira jamaicana a vencer o Miss Mundo, em 1963. Inspirado por sua conquista, ele comp\u00f4s e interpretou Portrait of My Love para o BL&amp;D. Entre suas cria\u00e7\u00f5es, tamb\u00e9m est\u00e1 Empty Chair, uma balada que se tornou sua marca registrada. Ele dividiu os vocais principais com Ken Lazarus no grande sucesso Jamaican Ska, lan\u00e7ado em 1964, no auge da popularidade do ska.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Em entrevista ao Jamaica Observer em 2019, Lyn relembrou como o BL&amp;D se envolveu com o ska: \u201cFomos apresentados ao ska por Eddie Seaga, que nos levou a Chocomo Lawn para ouvir e aprender esse ritmo fascinante; Ken Lazarus e eu passamos muitas noites l\u00e1 ouvindo e ajudando. O BL&amp;D ent\u00e3o apresentou esse [som] aos f\u00e3s do uptown\u201d, contou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keith Lyn entrou para o Byron Lee and the Dragonaires em 1963 e, no ano seguinte, se apresentou com a banda na Feira Mundial de Nova York. O evento contou tamb\u00e9m com a presen\u00e7a de Carole Joan Crawford, al\u00e9m dos cantores Prince Buster, Eric \u201cMonty\u201d Morris e Jimmy Cliff. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hinds descreveu Lyn como \u201cmuito af\u00e1vel, simp\u00e1tico e f\u00e1cil de trabalhar. Ele nunca teve desentendimentos com ningu\u00e9m. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dAp\u00f3s deixar o BL&amp;D em 1978, Lyn se mudou para o sul da Fl\u00f3rida, onde liderou uma banda composta por m\u00fasicos jamaicanos, como Paul Douglas (bateria), Trevor Lopez (guitarra) e Leslie Butler (teclados).
